Children will perform either May 13th or 14th during their related arts time with the “Best of the Best” performing on May 17th. Please see the handout that your child should have brought home for more information, or contact Mrs. McClanahan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can’t wait to see all of these outstanding performances!
May 6-10th is National Teacher Appreciation Week
Thank you parents and families for your generous support of the PTO this year. We are able to celebrate our teachers this week by providing them breakfast during their weekly staff meeting, as well as a lunch, thanks to your generous contributions. Additionally, we have purchased each of them a small gift they will be able to keep as a way to thank our wonderful Westwood Teachers!
You can help support our teachers and celebrate them this week by the following:
Monday May 6th: Indulge your teacher with a snack or treat
Tuesday May 7th: Bring in some type of school supply to donate
Wednesday May 8th: Make a card or picture for your teacher
Thursday May 9th: Bring or make a pretty flower
Friday May 10th: Do something nice for your teacher: tell your teacher(s) why you appreciate them. Fill out a successory form.
What better way to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week than to nominate your teacher for a Successory award? Williamson County School’s Successory program will take place May 6-10, giving students a chance to say thank you to the school employees who are helping them become a success. Participating is easy! Just print off a Succesory form online, fill it out with the name of a school employee (teacher, bus driver, cafeteria worker, etc.) who’s making a difference in your life and drop it off in the box marked Successory forms in the front office the week of May 6-10. At the end of the week, a name will be drawn and one lucky employee will receive a special prize.
Just a few reminders for our rising 6th graders as they start transitioning to Fairview Middle School:

Rising Kindergartners are invited to Westwood on Tuesday, April 30th to learn about their soon to be school. Westwood needs a few volunteers to help show these future tigers and their parents around our school. If you are interested in volunteering approximately an hour of your time either in the morning or afternoon on this fun day, please sign up to volunteer for sneak-a-peek here.
Thank you for your help and time!
All rising 6th graders interested in playing tennis at FMS this fall, please contact Coach Shelly Frank at email@example.com. Open court practices will be scheduled throughout the summer. Tryouts and practice will begin the week of July 30th.
